Activated Carbon Filter / Adsorption Filter
Activated Carbon Filter is a filter that uses a bed of activated carbon to remove impurities from a fluid using the principles of adsorption. In this water treatment process pollutants or impurities in the water that are to be treated are trapped inside the pores of carbon layers. These layers are made of many highly porous carbon granules possessing a large surface area within which contaminants can be trapped. Commonly used for water purification, air filtering and industrial gas processing.
